fwiw, i put a set of cycle shack baffles in mine for well under $70, can't remember exactly what i paid from dk. the sound wasn't as deep as i wanted, so i drilled more holes in them like they already had. really was a piece of cake to do. sound real good but not obnoxious, no cackling at all. i like them and get plenty of compliments. if you want loud, the samson unbaffled slip-ons will do the trick, but you will feel the loss of power under normal throttle. great for wide open, but you will get the popping when decelerating.

Also, you can order competition baffles to make them louder if you need more volume. I wanted louder than stock but not loud enough to **** off the neighbors. I have also removed the cat which made the stock mufflers sound better. I'm hoping the Jackpots with standard baffles will be about right with the cat out (loud, but not too loud). If not, I will order the competition baffles and give them a try.
I am very interested in how you like this set up. I am considering the same thing, and it sounds like we are looking for the same sound (loud, but not too loud).
