There are going to be champions of both of them on here! Hardly anyone will have tried both, although one HDF member has done so. Most replies will be for one or the other. Personally I chose custom-built Ohlins and they are truly great shocks. Having owned Harleys since 1974 I now have one that does not bottom out when riding two up! General comfort is far superior to any previous set-up I have tried.

I agree. I chose the Ohlins.

ricors and Brian have done well by me. Superb over stock stocks. I suggest you do a search on the forum of Ricor and Ohlin and read all that has been written.

There are two members here who have used both, Marcparnes and Boomer Bob. Both of them believed that either Ricor or Ohlins is a quantum leap over the stock shocks. If memory serves, both preferred the Ricors over the Ohlins.

I run the Ricors and I'm very happy with them. I would love to try a pair of Ohlins and compare them.

I was in the same dilemma as you when choosing my shocks. In the end, I chose Ohlins. It seemed to me that Ohlins had more experience in suspension systems for motorcycles than Ricor. As previous posts have stated, either suspension system will significantly improve your motorcycle's ride.

Hope this helps.
