Nice review. Captures some of my same observations when I test rode an LT and Ultra. I'm sure things would be very different now that BMW has releaed the K1600.

Good review and observations. I have ridden both Honda's and Harley. Each bike has its advantages and disadvantages. As far as current technological is concerned, Harley is behind the curve by a mile compared to Japanese or German bikes. Having said that, the Harley ,to me anyway, is like an old war horse...it's not fast and the style is a bit dated but you can count on her day in and day out. The ride is comfortable and enjoyable. Kicking back at 70 or 80, feet on the forward pegs, wife or girlfriend on the back just cruising along, watching the world go by. I suppose the Harley is like an old comfortable shoe who isn't going to change much and you know what your are getting when you put it on. Plus the fact, no matter where you go there is always someone on a Harley or someone who someday really wants to own one. Kinda fun to be in such a world wide group.

Again, good review. I enjoyed it.

How can you compare the to?
Nothing against a BMW I happen to like many of them but one is a Harley and one is not.
Like comparing a brick to a loft of bread

this is like comparing a high performance mustang and a 5 series BMW, apples and oranges. I admire the differences in all brands but bought a Harley because I didn't want a BMW, Honda, Ducati...etc...
