Radio Shack - Alarm Siren Install - 2011 RGC
#61
Wait..I understand the need for the male pins , connection etc..etc...but why a 9 pin connector. Why not buy the applicable molex ( I think its called ) connector from HD. It's like 6 dollars then run your wireing and wallah..why buy a 9 pin for a 3 pin connection. I .probably sound like I belong on a short yellow bus with a larger helmet , but my connector doesn't seem to need a 9 point set up

8. Black wire from siren goes to Green wire from plug.
Check that the pins are not touching each other... they might have bended against each other.

Wachuko:
Excellent Info as usual.
Used your Instructions for the RG outer fairing removal this past weekend.
Your comment re: removal of the headlight assembly was on the mark! Have no idea how long it would have taken to reinstall without you suggestion. Thanks
I am really unhappy about the degredation of the FM signal (with the hidden antennae), but stunned with the improvement of the BOOM speakers.
Thanks again

FYI. I took the siren back off and tested it on one of my RV batteries and it was defective. Took it back to Radio Shack, which they wouldn't exchange because the guy says they don't know if I hooked it up right. (Funny) So I bought another one for $4.87, took it home and checked it on the battery again. It worked. Installed it on the bike and it works like a charm.
