I've seen all the arguments for the RS siren...however, I've opted for the HD Smart Siren and pager system. More money? Yep. About $150.00 installed and flashed at the Dealer. But I have a nice little pager that WORKS AS ADVERTISED that goes off, even if the bike is in the underground parking garage and I'm on the 15th floor, or over 1/2 mile away (advertised, I've had mine work at closer to a mile) and I know when someone is messing with the bike. Sirens are pretty much ignored by most people. A pager tells ME that MY bike is being messed with. Worth looking at for those of you looking at actually making the HD Security have some added value. And the best part? It's a HARLEY PART put on by a HARLEY DEALER, so no worries about something shorting out the ECM. And yes, I've seen it happen, with a nice little electrical fire to go with it. Come to find out, ECMs and wiring harnesses for a 2010 V-Rod are pricey...

Has anyone considered adding a relay module to have the siren output (not the Radio Shack siren, but the signal from the motorcycle harness) sound the horn?

Can someone tell me why this mod doesn't work on a Triglide?
Done this for a friend over the weekend and every time you turn the key on the siren blares. Put the bike in first and turn the ignition on and it acts as it should but as soon as you shift to neutral it blares again. What gives?????

Is it possible you got the wires in the 3 pin connector mixed up? If you have the siren connected to the wrong two wires, it can cause that to happen.

I wish that was the case. I've installed quite a few of these for friends but I still second guessed myself. Pulled the plug back out to double check wire position and make sure they weren't touching....all was good. After a little digging it seems that the HD siren does the same thing from what I've found. Will talk to my local service manager today and see if there's a special download for trikes for the TSSM.

Default Did mine today

Completed the install on my 13 FLHRC. Flawless.

Picked up the sirens last week at RS (hardest part was convincing the clerk that she had 'em -- and, yes, I did the dual siren install). Waited to order the Delphi connector so I could make a clean install. Soldered the wires together and then to the connectors. Double-faced waterproof tape and zip tied all in place.

Thanks for the write-up, comments, and pictures, everybody!

Time for some installation fluid.

Cheers.

Ok there are 3 wires on the factory connector. Brown, green and black.
There are only 2 wires on the siren.

Which 2 do I use and what's that third one for?

See page 1 (with photos)

7. Red wire from siren goes to Brown wire from plug.
8. Black wire from siren goes to Green wire from plug.
