Just installed on 2011 RKC and worked perfect. Followed instructions on page 1 no problems.

Default Alarm - how long?

If the bike is disturbed and goes from chirp to full alarm mode, does it time out after a period of time?

Done this mod on my 2010 FLHTK and a friends 2008 FLHTCU. The alarm chirps like it should when in full alarm on both bikes but when arming and disarming it sounds like a sick cricket. What's up with that?

I got the sick cricket sound on my 2002 RK and thought maybe because it was an older bike. Never did find a solution so gave up and didn't mount it. Have also wondered if maybe I got a bum alarm, but didn't pursue that. If you resolve this be sure to post or PM me.

I have a digital volt meter, which might not show a fluctating voltage like an analog would, so I took a LED bulb from a PC that was sitting around and determined there was always a voltage present on the leads for the alarm. That's when I gave up.

When I had my Street Bob I installed the radio shack siren and it also had the same sound when arming or disarming. I just figured it was something that was not recognized. I eventually replaced it with the Harley siren.

That is what I did on several bikes. I think I posted that somewhere too. If you are going to solder it on anyway, just use a paper clip and some shrink wrap to keep them from touching each other. Too easy and cheap I guess.

K done that. I used crimp post connecters and flattened them with pliers and then heat shrinked the connection and heat shrinked the heat shrink
