Default Should I change back to OEM A/C?

First: my bike is a 2000 RKC, stock motor with SE A/C and V&H slip-ons.

As soon as the weather allows, I am gonna ride my bike for a about a week to make sure that the work I had my dealer do was performed correctly - but then I am going to remove my Vance and Hines slip-ons and replace with the CFR knockoff slip-ons (testing how my bike reacts to the straight through design - hope it works these are supposed to be great sounding for cheap!). To help return some back pressure, I purchased the original Thunder Monster baffle for a headpipe installation - hoping that will give enough back pressure to return some expected loss in torque.

I am very igorant on these matters, but I was wondering if I should change my SE A/C backplate back to the OEM so as to not run too lean with the new straight through megaphone style slip-ons.....is this theory correct? I am just trying to not have to buy a PCIII and have to mess with tuning my Magneti Morelli EFI.....bike runs great now but I want better sounding pipes.
