Greetings from the Newest, Luckiest SOB on here.
I'm still in the "new bike" afterglow and so some how this post seems like a good idea.
I just bought my first HD, a 2011 Ultra Limited and drove it home yesterday! I've wanted an Ultra Classic for YEARS and have just recently been able to do it.
Father-in-law has owned a few over the years and been a great help:
1. Advise on buying the bike. ("scooter" in his terms.)
2. Teaching his daughter (my wife) what fun riding is.
I look forward to many years and many miles with it and am in a pretty good location to really enjoy it.
My first project, as of today anyway, is too change the mufflers... if not pipes. I'm looking for a little more rumble without having to completely re-tune the engine... If anyone has suggestions or thoughts on an easy upgrade for the mufflers at least, I'm all ears.
Thanks and glad to be here!

Steve,
You can put slip on mufflers and not change the mapping in your ECM. Its when you change you air filter system for more air running tbrough the engine, cams and other things that will require remapping. But you should seriously be ready for that you need to find a tuner at a minimum like a power commander V PCV so you can improve how your bke runs and modify your bike when you want. Talk to Jamie at Fuelmoto on the forums here he will be of great help.
As for slip on I say 4" Rineharts! Good luck ride safe dude.

Welcome to the madness! +1 on calling the guys at Fuelmoto.com They will do what it takes to make your experience great. Some of the best guys in the business. But to answer your question, slipon mufflers will give you some more rumble but my experience has been with the cat in our 2011 bikes, your not gonna get what your looking for until you get that thing off there.
