Default Saddle bag lid covers.

Got HD bag lid covers, having hard time gettin them to stretch over lid to hook onto velcro strips. Gonna try heat gun that's gotta help, open to suggestions, is there better brand of covers out there? My wifes short legs are hell on my saddle bags.

Been using the HD ones since 2006 with no problems.

I just lay them out in the sun light for awhile before I install them.

+3 for me too.
Don't need no 2 sided tape as they fit extremely well over your lids.

I would too got for laying in the sun. Heat gun might be too much heat if your not real careful. And before you start, take a black permanate marker and color the whilte velcro strips before you install unless your bike is white.

Like my Ride Tek covers - not as bulky looking as HD & Mustang. Stretched on real easy, but I took lids off & installed in warm house last winter.

I had the HD lid covers on my 06 Standard and they fit perfectly. You gotta stretch them a bit when you put them on,but there was never a wrinkle in them, and not sloppy looking. One of the previous posters said to color the velcro black unless you ride a white bike.I'm not sure why you'd do that, the velcro goes on the inside of the lid,you can't see it when the lid is closed.

I had bought a tour pac lid cover from Mustang along with a wrap around back pad to put on my Road Star. What a pita to stretch them over it. Once they got on, great. Where were these suggestions when i needed them. I would think that a hair dryer might do the trick if you can get it away from momma. Saw some bag covers on at the dealers yesterday, along with a trukn cover. Got me thinking again. Might have to get another batch for My Ultra Classic.
