A friend has the Iron Braid Levers and the color has begun to wear off under his fingers after a couple of years.

Haven't gotten around to ordering them for the Ultra yet, but had them on my last bikle for over 10 years. I think they're next on my list...

I have a set on order, scheduled for delivery Wednesday. I've been reading different instructions on changing the levers out, and was a little confused on the "cardboard" and removing the cover of the master cylinder. Didn't make sense, so I opened another topic on that.

That's the first I've heard of the color wearing off. What color were his?
