mixed tires front/rear

I've had no problem running different brands of tires in the past and I'm sure many others have as well. Even running the same brand and type of tire the front and rear tire are different.
I have not run one bias and one radial, that could make a bigger difference.
I pretty sure that someone will post about how most people who try it have not lived to tell the tale.

I run a car tire in the back, and I have run it with a 16" D402, 17" D407F and 408F (all these are bias) and an 18" Elite 3 radial. I can't see anything more different than that, as far as mixing tires is concerned. None of the treads match, of course.
No big difference mixing radials and bias, or stock and non-stock sizes, the bike runs well on all, no instability, no following ruts. I use the E3 radial the most because it has really good traction, but the steering is a bit too light for my taste. Once it wears out I will probably get an E3 bias 16" and stay with it.
As far as mixing radials and bias on a bike, the MOCO has sold some models with radials in the back and bias in the front, and many custom bikes run a huge radial in the back and bias in front. You should be OK.

Don't do it...It will make your motor spit rubber *****....your nuts will swell up...LOL I have mixed so many brands and Bias and radials...if a tire sucks it will suck with whatever other tire you use one the opposing end...Avon is a good tire but wears too damn fast...go ahead and try...like i said it's a good tire. I tried it and i think i gor like 5000 miles out of it.
