Default Going to pick my bike tomorrow....finally!

I bought an 09 RKC from a guy in Virginia Beach over a month ago and I'm finally headed out there tomorrow to get it. I am nervous and excited at the same time.

Nervous because I haven't ridden in over 6 months and my last bike was a 750 Honda. I am going to start slow to refresh my skills before I hit the road to come back home. I know to go easy on the brakes as they are probably way more touchy than on the Honda. Make extra effort to be conscious of not applying front brake when the wheel is turned (good thing is I never got into that habit on my old bike...). Easy on the throttle and clutch, too.

Anything else?

Oh, excited because I'll be riding again!!!!! Hells yeah!!!!!!

It's heavy, wear boots with good grip.

Remember in slow maneuvers, the rear brake is your friend.

The RKC has a nice low center of gravity so it behaves real nice evan at slow speeds, enjoy and welcome to the bagger club.

Find yourself a big empty lot & get a good feel for the bike. After a few minutes of re-learning. you'll be good to go. Take it easy & drive alert. Enjoy the new to you scoot!
