Iron Aces Road Glide iPhone/GPS Mount - 2011 RGC
I have a Zumo 550 GPS and I hated the mount on the handlebars. All I saw every time I walked by the bike or rode it, was that fugly U bolt from the stock mount...
I came across this mount on another forum. This, on the other hand, is a CNC machined aluminum work of art, imho.
And no, not related, no vested interest, blah blah blah, I just find it to be a cool looking mount for our bikes. And very happy that folks out there are building custom stuff for our bikes. Here are a few photos with different GPS and iPhone:
I went with the "Tall Boy" as the 550 runs a little bit bigger... tall mount gives me two install heights to play with.

"Tall boy" version and it is mounted on the highest setting.
Here is what comes in the box. Instructions are idiot proof, wow! Better instructions would have included a person to do it for you.
The nice thing is that it mounts on the speedometer housing. You remove the aluminum logo strip, use the supplied template to drill the holes, install the supplied hardware, mount the base of your GPS or iPhone, or whatever, and you are done.

After:
I love symmetry!
So much better looking than the alternative

No problem. Just sharing in case others felt the same way about the rudimentary mounting base that comes with the Zumo, or the odd fairing base that HD sells...
This one is centered, when sitting you still see enough of the radio to know the song that is playing (or station)... and I am 5'7" so taller people will have less of an issue with the view from the seat to the GPS and radio than I do.
It is a shame that is hidden behind the GPS craddle. It is a trick piece, imho of course.
