Default Riding with full face helmet on Street Glide...

I have two helmets that I wear depending on what bike I'm riding...half and full face. I normally wear a half helmet on the Street Glide.

Tonight I wanted to get one more ride in before the weekend was over and thought I'd wear the full face riding the SG. It was actually really nice! No buffeting, could hear the radio, etc. It may not look as good, but I liked it...

FF helmet - never leave home without it. It's all I ever wear now that I'm older & wiser. May look dorky on dresser, but who cares.

I always feel more comfortable in my ff. Just don't like the whole wind experience quite as much. Don't feel bad for making yourself as safe as possible.

I've got a shoei multitec for cold, raining, crappy days.

I changed the visor to the mirrored visor.

I'd say my belly looks dorky, not the black and mirrored visor. I bought the carbon fiber 1/2 helmet, and realized how high it sits on my head. that looks a little dorky.

Shoei came to Vegas two years ago. Wish I brought it for Sturgis 2010.

I -did- run wo a helmet for a while, but i did feel a little naked... ha ha.

i have many helmets, six or seven. a few of which are 3/4 and i prefer them. i'm a smoker and i hate to pull off the road, spark up a marlboro, smoke it fast, put the helmet back on......hell i might as well quit smoking. i have i think two full face, and at least one half helmet. i still prefer the 3/4 though. i like being able to talk to someone when i stop without pulling off my helmet too.

Have had many 3/4 helmets over the years. A few FF for the dirt.

Currently have a 1/2 and a modular. I use the modular 99% of the time.

It is a bit dorky looking, specially when I have it flipped open for a cig.

But a modular saved my skull last August when a cage put me sliding down the asphalt for a few hundred feet!

I am a puss, I always wear a Shoei or Arai full face helmet. Always have always will. I have been going to Sturgis for years and I used to be the only one wearing one but I notice more and more are. Still not many but a few at least.

I don't think I could ever get used to a FF. I have a modular I am trying to get used to because the doctor says "no more sun". Usually wear 1/2 when local, 3/4 on trips. No doubt the FF is the best for protection. From what I hear, the girls like the mystique of the FF helmet....not that it matters.....just sayin'.
