Default How Much $$ to Paint Electra Glide?

Assuming I took off the tins myself and brought them to a paint man, how much should I expect to pay to have an Electra Glide painted a stock HD two-tone color scheme (ex. deep turquoise & antique white)?

Thanks

Shhhh, don't tell anyone but "other than materials" you cost can vary by shop.

Some use an hourly rate book, some don't.

Some use the this is how much $$$ I need to pay to the bills this week etc. method.

So as they song says "Shop around."

If I take the tins off, I was quoted $1,300 to add silver panels and pinstripes to an all black bike, essentially making it a two-tone bike.

It's been a long time, but I used to paint bikes (and cars). Not sure what the cost is these days but painting really is a "you get what you pay for" kinda job.

The question you have to ask yourself is how good do you want it to look? Many people can't even see the difference between a really good paint job and a mediocre one.

For me personally, I'd want a paint job with a finish as good or better than a factory HD paint finish. That's gonna cost some bucks - especially if you're going for the "better than stock" finish.

Spending big bucks does not guarantee high quality work. I'd shop around and get referals if possible...

+1 on shopping around and getting referals from other customers.

I went through that process when I had my bike repainted in '09.

If you include your location, you may find someone on HDF who can provide a recommendation or a "stay away" warning.
