Im 95% certain that your bike does not have a temp management system. If you have no codes and your oil level is good, I wouldnt worry any more about it. Maybe you could install an oil cooler or run a synthethic lube or both.

The heat management drops the rear cylinder, as soon as you blip the throttle it comes back. It can be turned on and off (at the dealer), I forgot it was on the older bikes, though I don't remember the years. I knew on the TBW bikes it can be turned on and off with the throttle('08 up). Hope this helps.

That feature is on "late" model '08s and newer. My early '08 did not have that ability (until I upgraded my SERT to the TTS Mastertune which includes the feature).
