Front for air baffle
#21
The one thing that took all of the lift the glasses and beard out of my 2010 Street Glide is the Klockwerks 6.5 inch flare windshield. The design of the windshield really changed the air flow on my bike. Now I don't get the flow up my body off the gas tank like I used to with the stock windshield.

Both the fork baffle and the fork wind deflectors help some. However, Harley recommends not using either in hot weather. They do inhibit air flow over the engine.

I put one on my SG - took it off within half an hour. It definitely does something - seemed to force a lot more air up and over the windshield, which created more buffeting and turbulence for me. I pulled the baffle off and immediately noticed more airflow over the tank, but IMO that's the lesser of two evils cause the wind is fairly smooth and calm flowing over the tank. That said, I'd try it if I were you - cheap part, and pretty much invisible. Seems like each rider has a different result based on height/seat/bars/shield, etc.

Wind deflectors
Does anyone here have a picture of the Harley front fork air baffle part # 58520-79TC
installed on their 09 - 11 Street Glide? It would be very much appreciated. I am thinking that the majority of my air turbulance on my glasses is coming from between the forks, and not as much over the stock shield. Thanks

This was my solution. Scroll through and on the 2nd page you'll see pictures I've posted along with to each his own opinions.
BTW...I tried the fork air baffle first and didn't notice any difference.
With my set-up I have eliminated the draft that shoots air up over & around the tank that you're describing.
Hope this helps.

baffle
After reading some posts on here I ordered an air baffle from eBay. Received it yesterday and went for a ride. I thought it was a MAJOR improvement. I'm 6' tall, FLHTCU seat on my 2011 FLHX, and 6'' cee baileys cee devil windshield.
All the buffeting that used to hit my glasses is gone and there is little to no air pounding my face and head anymore. I was wasting my time and money on windshields when all along that was the cure for my particular set up.
