Default Compensator failed 08 SG

So I knew it was coming. I was hearing the starter banging on start up sometimes. Took it to the dealer and told them I thought my compensator was failing. they took a look, tightened my compensator nut (or bolt) and said I was good to go. I was not happy about that and thought they should have changed it out under the extended warranty that I have. Two months later it failed sending metal into the motor. Now I get a SE compensator, and a new stator for my starter.

I would have them look at all of your clutch, primary chain, bearings and seals in the primary hopefully you can get them all replaced not telling what happened when it went! You will love the new SE version though night and day it is like a different bike.

It sent metal into the motor? Do you mean it sent metal throughout your primary?
