Default Grips: Install billet so they are removable?

I am purchasing new bars/controls/switches. I have my eyes on a killer set of smooth billet grips that would really complete everything perfectly. I wear gloves 100% of the time so I think that should offset concerns about them being slippery. My gloves also have vibration pads in palm that should handle vibration concerns. I fear they may not be functional enough for reasons that include vibration, slickness, and b/c they are not flat. For those reasons I am preparing myself for a failed experiment and having to change these billet grips out.

The few grip threads I have seen are all about taking a razor blade to the left grip, which is not possible with billet. They also talk of super glue to keep new grip on. I understand I don't want the grips coming off while I'm riding but how can I install them in a way that they are easily removable?

The stock left grip is glued on so people usually just cut them off but I think they can be taken off with a lot of patients. I think all replacement HD are not glued on. Some aftermarket grips are glued some are not so you have to find out if they billet ones your considering are or aren't.

My PM renthal grips are not glued on. For the left grip I had to drill two dimples on the bars and used two very small set screws.

+1 on the Performance Machine grips. No glue and very comfy.
