Default Long or short highway peg mounts?

Referring to the angle mounting arms sold to work with Ultra lowers:
Will the short ones come back far enough to still angle the pegs back a bit or will the pegs have to be straight out?
Anybody have pics of the short and or long arm mounts?
Thanks!

I went with the 360 degree mounts and I'm glad I did. I was able to get them adjusted to a comfortable position. I don't think with the others it would have been as comfortable.

Depends on your inseam. I am vertically challanged, 5'8" with a 29" inseam. I ride a Road King Classic. Just last weekend I bought the long offset pegs based on dealer advice and he was spot on. When I mounted them low and let them wrap back towards the brake pedal they were just right. Not out too far and at a comfortable distance for resting my legs almost straight. I will try and remember to snap a picture tonight and post it tomorrow.

Buddy had the shorts, he is verticly challenged, I (6 ft) had the longs and hadn't mounted them yet. We swapped and are both happy now. It that is you in the pic, shorts will be fine for you, but the 360's offer lots of adjustment. My 02 hope it helps

I am wondering some of the same things. How much more adjustable are the 360 from the long arm? Do the long arm only adjust in a few places? For us vertically challenged, we would never need to have the pegs in the long position, so if the long arm only adjusts over 180 degrees, it should give us the same adjustments for the short side. I may be way off on how they work.

H-D sells a long and short arm version that are both 360 degree adjustable. The long arm moves the highway peg closer to the rider (short rider version) while the short arm keeps the pegs farther back (average/tall riders). Neither mount actually has a dynamic swivel. When the arms are adjusted to your taste, they are very firmly tightened to the crash bar and you can only fold and unfold the highway pegs from riding pos. to parallel to the crash bar. I would suggest packing the correct sockets for a while until you find your comfort zone.

I'm also 5'8 and find the shorts to be perfect. The point is to be able to put your feet a bit forward of the usual position and the long angled mounts were too close to me. With the shorts I can put my heel on the board and my toe on the peg if I don't need to stretch my legs.

I didn't know there was a need to have a special mount to work with lowers.
