Default Storage for a Fuel Tank?

I just replaced by 03 anniv. tank with a 07 ultra tank(I'm not to keen on the anniv tank emblems) and I am not sure how I should get the fuel completely out or store it to prevent damage. ie..rust or whatever.

Just pour out all you can,let tank be able to air out for awhile,LPS3 heavily turning tank afterwards to insure coverage, seal it up and store in a dry area.Box it up surround w/old news paper.

Spray can lube only heavier and drys somewhat to maintain a gel. This stuff wont end up in a big puddle at bottom of tank. Most auto stores have this, walmart etc. They make LPS-1,-2 and -3. The -3 is the thickest.

What do you do when you decide to use the tank again? Don't mean to Hijack the thread, sorry.

Any kind of cleaner, even regular gas can be used to clean it out.Put it in,slosh around and pour it out.It does dry hard, drys like vasoline but only a film.
