Default need a short male/male AUX plug

can't find a small approx 1" male/male AUX plug anywhere? I want it to plug in a iPod Nano directly into stock radio face. thought I saw a pic here somewhere but haven't been able to find it. Anyone know where to get one?

I think your chances of finding something like that is slim. What you basically need are two 3.5mm male plugs wired back to back. That is difficult to do, as you can't get the shielding to slide back far enough to wire the connections.

you don't want to use anything like that- the weight of even a nano bouncing around will cause the aux jack or it's solder joints to fail.

use a regular radio-shack ( or what ever) cable- a little velcro on your nano, and you can attach to the fairing, maybe down by the switches

I agree with mkguitar be a lot of stress on jack with one like you mention. I clip my Nano to cup holder and use a retractable 3.5mm cable so there's no cable slack.

Agree with the others about the stress. I thought about doing the same thing but figured it wouldnt hold up.

Wal-mart sells a retractable one like above and I bought a 1' cable at radio shack to use on mine. That was the shortest I could find locally and it works good with my ram mount.
