john are you saying you can run the 500 watt amp on 2 channels? I got the rocker setup on my street glide.. only 2- 7.25 rocker speakers..with the 250 watt amp...so I could go with the 500 watt & set it up on 2 channels?? 250 watts per channel? I dont plan on adding any more speakers..it already does great.. that mabe a future upgrade..

thanks I just dont want the lowers...wonder if you can bridge the 4 channel to make it a 2 channel or something with twice the power....I know in car audio you used to bridge a 2 channel amp to a mono setup..just have to watch you ohm level...

If you only have two speakers and a 250 watt amp, I don't see you gainin nothin going to a 500 watt amp.
You can't turn up the speakers all way with a 250 watt amp and still be able to hear.

The reason I suggested vented lowers with speakers is with the 500 watt amp, it will give you seperation in the stereo speakers.
YOu can hear that.

Eric ,,,,,,

if we did bridge the 4-channels into two channels at over 240w per channel, it would be difficult to find speakers, to fit the fairing, that would stand up to that kind of power over the long term ,,,,,

Just connect the front channels of the J&M 4-channel amp to your fairing speakers and leave the rear channels disconnected till you decide to go with the LOWER fairing speakers or a pair of the J&M saddlebag lid speakers ,,,,,,

please let us know anytime that we can be of assistance ,,,,

thanks for the info...I'll just keep the 250 watt amp for now then...I might change it 1 day... but for now this is fine.,I was just wondering if it was possible & if the speakers would handle it... thanks..& great product.

I would put the ROKKERs in your fairing and also the saddlebags, and drive them with our 500w 4-channel amplifier ((amp model # JAMP-500HR06-RC ,,, see http://www.jmcorp.com/ProductDetail....AMP-500HR06-RC )) ,,,,

Just let us know how we can help ,,,,,

Hey John,

It turns out I can get some pods for my lowers from hogwired. They will take 5.25" speakers.

Do you have a compatible set of 5.25" that will go with the 7.25" fairing speakers?

I'm also interested in rear 7.25" for this speaker lid :

Would yours fit?

Kevin.

Default Rear Speakers

I haven't read the entire thread but I am assuming the 7.25" will not fit in the pods in the passenger backrest of my 2011 FLHTK? Thanks

Correct. J&M has 7.25" ROKKER speakers available for the upper front fairing speakers and the lower fairing speakers if you have Harley vented lower fairings.
The rear ROKKER rear speakers are available in 5.25" only.

Hope this helps!

Shawn
