So tell me about the 'upgrade' / trade-in program for the original seris J&M 7.25" speakers... I have already pulled mine but I am open to giving your new series of speakers a try if it isn't too costly.

I don't see that upgrade kit on your website. Am I blind or what?

So if I pair a set of the new rokker 7.25s with the 250w amp I was gonna buy for my standard 7.25s.... What kind of sound difference should I expect? I would kinda be expecting to have a "Holy ****!" reaction after I got them installed for $180 more (after refund of $100 to my card).
So I guess what I'm asking is old 7.25s with the 250w amp versus the new rokker 7.25s with 250w amp...what's the real sound difference?

I won’t be putting the upgrade kits on the J&M website till we have a better stock of the ROKKER series speakers in our warehouse ,,, but the J&M sales department will have all of the correct information when you call them ,,,,

the standard J&M 7.25" speakers are THE most efficient speakers you can buy for your Harley fairing, and when connected to the stock Harley HK audio system, they easily outperform the stock Harley speakers (or new Boom Harley speakers)) and all aftermarket brands I have compared them to ,,,, they also sound great with J&M's 125w per channel RMS amplifiers ,,,,

those who would say that they are loud, but don't have bass response, are looking for a level of bass response that is just not yet available within the acoustical environment inside the Harley Bat-Wing fairing ,,,,, ((RoadGlide fairing acoustics are a bit better by the way))

the J&M “”ROKKER”” series 7.25" speakers give you the following features/advantages OVER the standard J&M 7.25's ,,,,,

** High efficiency VENTED voice-coil for improved cooling when operating at high volume levels for extended periods.

Let me see If I got this right. I send back my old style 7.25 speakers, (the ones you guys said would rock my world), you will credit me $100.00 for a set of Rokkers which means I would have spent $408 for a set of speakers. What a nice guy.

How bout we swap old for new and then maybe I will get what I was promised in the first place.

 

Ok, I think I understand.
I have to be honest and say that I'm really not an audiophile. I like my tunes to sound good, but I just don't think I'm going to notice a difference between the old and new 7.25s. Especially since I dont plan to go bigger than the 250w amp.

I'd like to hear them in person, but I'm in GA. So AZ and NV are a bit too far away for me.

I have the original 7.25 J&M speakers, have had them for over a year and am happy. I was in Daytona but didn't stop by the trailer because I was only there one day, and had my mind set on something else. I'm sure J&M will be back for Biketoberfest, at which time I will stop and see what they have going at the time, and if the upgrade seems worth it, I'll do it, especially if they'll do the installation at no extra cost.
