Default Question for those who have a 21" front wheel

I was in Detroit Harley this weekend and saw their display of a few baggers that had been customized with 21" front wheels. Those wheels looked awesome to me. I wanted to find out what the difference in ride and handling is with a 21" versus the stock 17 that I have on my 2010 RK. Also, I have ABS, and I wondered if that is affected when going to the larger wheel?
Thanks, Brent.

I lowered my front end 1" when I added the 21. Also added intiminators. The front end felt a little heavier for about the first 10 minutes I rode. I don't notice it at all now. No issues in handling. Ride just as fast or faster.

I have a 2010 FLTRX, lowered the front end 2" with a 21" wheel, and it handles well, in fact there used to be a funny wobble at about 40mph, thats completely gone.

Agree with the others a little heavier steering at first but dont notice it now. Ive also noticed that the tip in seems faster which makes the bike feel smaller and handle better just my opion.

can't comment on the ABS, as far as handling its different, wouldn't say better or worse but its different. had a trip this weekend to the Texas Hill Country, we road the 3 Sisters Ranch Roads 335,336,and 337. Lots of 10, 15 and 20 MPH curves. Return trip home interstate 10 is 334 miles got rained on in San Antonio, 25 mph winds in Sealy. My 21" wheel handled good this weekend in about everything that you could throw at it other than snow. I did drop the front to keep the geometry of the bike close to the same as stock. If you made the switch i think you would be happy, I have not run into anyone who has switched back to the stock wheel, in fact one of our riding buddies this weekend has a street glide with a 27" wheel.

Thank you all for the information. Still like to know if anyone has done the conversion with ABS and had no issues.

That looks awesome. Some won't like it but it looks great.
