Still struggling with mine. Both front and rear brake work, no issues there. I saw in the manual the test using the meter like Bill03E describes but wouldn't disconnecting the roll-off switch also tell you if that part was bad? That's how I tested it but will go back and check for continuity.

The roll off switch does nothing but turn the cc off when you roll the throttle forward. you can disconnect 1 of the wires it is disabled and nothing else will be effected.
Go back to where it worked. Say it started after working the carb, that's where I would start.
Some times things do unexpected things. A friend replace his battery and now his bag/trunk locks do not work.

If your roll off plug is disconnected and your cruise isn't working, then your problem is somewhere else. If you have a manual, the electrical schematics are pretty good about showing you where to look.

Just got mine working, the roll off switch was causing it, I didn't have the "lash" setup right, works fine now.

When i changed bars on my Roadking I had the problem of the cruise kicking out on its own...ended up being that even tho I was setting cable lash by the book, it seemed too tight. Slightly loosened the lash and the kickouts went away. Was probably messing up the roll off switch..
