Talking Car tire on a '07 Ultra. Yes, Elaine, it works.... lol

Folks,

I just posted on the "Wheel, tire and brakes" section about my riding buddy and his '07 Ultra.

It is a post intended for all those folks that have emailed me and PM'd me about car tires for the older models, with a 16X3 OEM rear wheel. If you don't like the idea of a car tire on a bike, its fine, don't read the post, no need to get all worked up over it. Its a dead horse, everything has been argued about it, and it works.

Regards,

Must be nice to get double the miles out of the same tire, than you would running a cycle tire.

Its not about the mileage (three or four times) and its not about the money.

Its about the comfort, the traction, the stability, the braking, and the load capacity. And of course, about the size of the contact patch.

Ok, like the look, and have read all the info on the other post and watched the video's. I'm a believer, but you didn't tell what the tire is?? Size etc, yeah I know its a 16 but what is the other numbers I need to get one?? I have brand new skins on my bike but one good season will fix that
I have 16 X 3's on my Ultra, so give me the tire name and specs so I can file it away in my little pea brain and when I need a new one, I'll join you over on the "Dark Side".
Thanks

Hey Roberto, I have a 2010 EGC. Would it be better to put a 195-65-16 or 205-65-16??

Thanks

I have no experience with the other sizes, you would just have to try it.
I went with the 195/60R16 because its the same diameter as the 180/65B16 OEM Dunlop and I didn't want to mess with the speedometer or mileage. My next tire will be the same size, 195/60R16 because its a really good fit.
