I am also running vivid black, I have also tried just about everything above, best thing I have found so far is Wizards Mist N Shine. They are pretty proud of it $$$ but, spray on wipe off and it shines like new. No wash, no wax, nothing but a spay and wipe its great stuff. http://www.wizardsproducts.com/

If you need to strip wax to start to detail then dish soap may be alright. Not sure if the car soap stuff will strip the wax.
Dont you need to strip the wax before you can detail with a compound or polish? So if a few deep scratches you would buff with compound, then use a polish to take out swirl and finally wax to protect.
