I ordered a chrome on. I don't think it was more than 30 bucks or so. Find the Part # and do a search at Chicago Harley and Zanotti's. You'll be surprised how cheap the chrome and black ones really are.

Your paint does look great though. I am sure if will hold up a long time. That high temp rattle can stuff is good stuff. The rattle cans in general have come a long way. One of the best that I have found is the appliance epoxy in a can. It will stick to anything period.

Nice work!

[quote=BigTKC;8099981]Here are the install pics and it turned out just like I expected . Took my time taking the original AC unit and mounting bracket off so I wouldn't have to remove the fuel tank. Torqued it to specs and loctite on all bolts. Spent a lot of time agonizing over which AC cover to use and finally decided to go with the PM faceplate using the upgrade kit.

I am using the PM faceplate with adapter on my SE base also.

One thing you may consider is painting the face of the SE air filter flat black. Behind the wire mesh.

It drove me nuts that I could see everything behind the wire mesh on the PM cover.

I also use a black HD SE rainsock around the filter. It gives the apperance that all the air is coming in the PM faceplate.

Yours looks great, I get a lot of compliments on mine also.

I noticed that your breather bolts are solid. On my back plate the bolts are hollow and there is rubber tubes that go from the bolts and are routed behind the filter. Did you switch out the bolts? Mine is a 2006 E-Glide
