Personally, and it's only a personal choice, I like the Batwing over the Shark nose.
I was at a local dealers bike noght and asked the salesman what the difference was between the Street Glide and Road Glide.
He told me to sit on the Street Glide and stand it up.
The he told me to do the same with the Road Glide.
When I was done he said "You felt the difference right?"
Honestly I didn't feel any difference.
Then he said that I wouldn't feel any wind buffering.
This I couldn't comment on as I didn't test ride the Road Glide.

i own one..... i THINK i could possibly own the other one some day, if i could ever spend some time on one that is set up for me (windscreen, etc..)
i rented the other one for the day last summer to see what all the whoopla is all about....the stock windscreen was such a P.O.S. that it was tough to get past that...

2 quick opinions....
#1.. i'm only 5'7" but i actually liked the spread out feeling of the fairing (and how often do i really touch the radio...thats what bar mounted controlls)
#2.. i think a 21" front looks more at home on the Shark Nose
