Default Vibration in left bag and pipe.

Any ideas as to why on my 09 Street Glide the left saddle bag and left muffler vibrate more than the right ? I mean to the point that the right one is almost perfectly still. Any help appreciated.

Ride safe

There is a rubber part that will sometime get lost when you remove your bags that fits between the bag and the bar the bag sits on. There are 2 of them on the underside of both bags. I actually keep a spare one in my bag because I have lost 2 of them when cleaning my bike.

Yes, they stay on the bags. There is a little hole in the bags which these rubber pieces snap in to.

Would it be a bad thing to glue those on, or do they need to come off for some reason?

The other suggestion is, make sure the bags are aligned right on the bars, and not touching the bike. Sometimes dealers mount these in a hurry and they can rub against the side of the bile.

I actually did glue one once, it still came off. I am just very careful to make sure they are there when I take the bags off for cleaning the bike. As long as thr bags are on, they will not come off. But when you life the bags off the bike, they sometimes fall on the ground.

I will see if that is happening and move/adjust that bag. I didn't even know about the rubber pieces on the bottom of the bags.

Thanks again.
