I've had lean years where I didn't have much of a bike, but I can't imagine not having something with 2 wheels and a motor.
There are lots of neglected evo powered bikes from the mid 80s that can be had for dirt cheap, and would give you something to work on. Someone with basic mechanical skills and some horse trading sense can always put something on the road. And right now, "rat bikes" are actually considered desireable.

Today is a day I had hoped would take forever to get here but I made the decision to sell my '07 Ultra. My last 2 daughters are headed to college and I'm pleased to be able to assist in their expenses, albeit at the result of selling my love.
I will not forget the memories I've acquired, friends I've made and met, and hopefully I'll return soon to my passion of riding a Harley.

My friend I two put two boys through college. Believe me selling your back is not going to pay for two in college now a days!!!!!!! This is what you need do apply for a goverment standford loans every semaster. as the loans start building and they will consolidate that will buy you time your kids will be out of school hopefully working and now help pay the loans and you never missed a ride
