What is it the marines say, a few good men, well as a father you qualify for sure. As someone posted earlier, I took off myself from 96-2010, felt like old times in no time....

I definitely think you are making the right decision based on family priority. Hope you can get the full value out of your bike; it is a beauty. You can hang around the forum even if you are "between" bikes you know. Your input was always helpful. Best wishes to you and your daughters!

Why leave the forum? Lots of good subjects to talk about. You are doing the right thing. You will have a new motorcycle someday in the not too distant future.

Been there, done that. Sold my Heritage softail in 2004 for the same reason. The youngest just graduates with a Masters degree in May and is a lovely person. Since I have written the last tuition check, last week I took delivery of a 2011 RKC.

Remember, one of your children will likely pick out your nursing home, so you definitely did the right thing!!!

its not April's fools is it? Hey brother you have offered GREAT advice and tought several if not all of us a lot! Please stick around as painful as that might be for you, your insight in priceless! Get your kids through college I'm sure they truly appreciate that their dad is willing to sell his love to help them out! As other have said you can only hope that they dont forget and remember when they (hopefully) get that high paying job, they will remember hell maybe they will buy you a new scoot for your birthday or Christmas! Until then, dream big, and please stick around!

No worries, UT! It's an understandable predicament...I have one in college myself, so I understand. Luckily I paid cash for my hog, and keep it insured - so I can stay in the wind, and when I say goodbye, I'll have something nice in the garage for my kids to talk about and remember me by...Don't be a stranger and keep poking us with a stick!

It's just a motorcycle. Nothing more.
