Help! Anyone have a Sundowner seat on a RKC

O noticed a little when I installed my rider backrest. Then when I put the Apes on my bike I could really tell because I am on top of the handlebars. I had to switch back to the stock seat, my sundowner is for sale. I could see how much closer to the tank I am with the Sundowner VS stock, I wish this wasn't the case, trust me, but it is, what it is.

+1 exactly my experience. Too bad my g/f loves it...

03 RKC here - down and back. When I put the backrest on, though, it does push you forward (at least changes your seating angle a bit). Maybe its the whole "straighten your back" thing. To accommodate for the slight move backwards without the backrest, I just turned the handlebars down a bit.

Do you have any idea how far forward you have moved? (Sorry about hijacking), I'm okay with the height on my '09 RK as it's been lowered, but a tad lower won't make that much difference. I'm fairly certain I don't want to move forward. The stock seat with the Heritage-style handlebars fits me perfectly as far as reach and the lowering of the bike was about 1". I'm 6' (and shrinking - we do that as we get older) so a bit lower won't bother me. The stock seat is not comfortable for long rides (butt burn). I'm thinking of either a Sundowner or a Mustang. The main thing for me is to get a comfortable seat, not move down, back, forward, etc. Thanks.

Ditto; down and back for me too. Nice deep buck give you that lower back support, but get the back rest for pure ride all day bliss. Sundowner is a great seat.
