Hi all, I have an '02 Roadking that will only run on the front cylinder. I have changed plugs, leads and coil with parts I know work as I swapped from a similar bike. There is no spark on the rear plug, any ideas. Thanks.

 

Have you actually checked for spark at the plug, or are you just going by the fact that the rear cylinder isn't working? In other words, did you pull the plug and ground it to the motor looking for spark? Or stick your finger in the wire and spin the motor over.... If not, do so. If you have spark, run a compression check.

if its carbed, check the connections at the ign. control module. harley had a tech. service bullitan on this. i ran into this on my carbed 2000 fatboy. steve

 

my buddy is having the same issue 04 electra glide He removed the front plug bike was still runing but no spark he licked his finger and stuck it in the spark plug wire no buzz, put back on front plug then took rear off and bike died . then put back rear spark plug back on bike, started bike then pulled rear plug again bike ran fine. is the coil bad or igniation or wire.

 

I had a similar problem but it would fire on two after 20 or thirty seconds. I did all the things you did but it turned out to be a failed intake manifold to head gasket.

 

i am having the same p[roblem except if i ride the bike about a half mile the rear cyclinder fires and then the bike runs ok
