I am just wondering who is running what and what the opinions of them are. I went from the stock mirrors to the fairing mounted type. Since then I bought a used inner fairing and painted it and installed it. I must say while running the fairing mirrors I wasn't very happy looking at my knuckles all the time. Plus I have to paint them now. SO, What to run that doesn't sit up super high and has a good look to it. I love the looks of the fairing mirrors but in my eyes the function is lacking. Thanks
If you haven't drilled the holes yet, you can move the template up 1/4"-1/2" and it will take care of the knuckle issue. That's the common fix for this.
I wouldn't mind the stock handlebar mounted mirrors if the stems were just a little bit longer. As it is , I have to lower my elbow if I want a real good view of whats behind me.

Thats what I have been hearing and I have not drilled the holes yet. That why I am throwing this around before the Dewalt comes out. Have to make sure I make the right decision.
...funny thing..I changed a lot of things on my bike...but the stock mirrors worked so good I just left them alone...in my opinion they aren't that bad looking...sure beats the older rectangle shaped ones they ran for a million years....

Soos has mirror extensions. Harley also sells them. They raise the mirrors about 2 inches.
