Hope I didn't step on your toes bogie. We all have really appreciated your past reviews and I am sure this one will be just as good. Even though my choice is already made I would still like to see the comparisons for no other reason than curiosity.

Garemlin-
No worries...
The lights weren't supposed to be available until after Daytona - so it caught me by surprise that they were available for sale already (although, not thru motorcycle channels yet...).
Actually - the high beam shot has me itching even more to do the photos to compare. I hope to have my Ultra, with the P7's & my wife's bike, with the P6's side-by-side...
Come on Saturday... (latest from the weather liars is 54 and sunny - should be perfect...)

The original post was about LED comparisons. I found the HD lights to be superior. They appear to be on par or above during daytime at a distance not right in front of the light. It seems if cost is a concern you might have considered another motorcycle company to begin with. To each his own, the extra 50 bucks was and is worth it for me.
There are many studies suggesting that daytime lighting on motorcycles does not have an effect positively or negatively on fatalities. Rather, cage lighting is having an effect as well as road conditions and terrain......country, desolate, highway, urban/city, curved, pitched....
I purchased Motlights last summer and they have a greater effect on my visibility than as well as to oncoming traffic than the other lights. So, I have both, studies be dammed. I simply want to see better at night. End of story. HD LED for me, cost be damned.

First - I want to say my intention is not to be confrontational...
You seem to contradict yourself, saying studies say daytime lighting isn't important; then saying Motolights have a great effect on your visibility...
FWIW - my personal experience says the amount of daytime visibility is important - since switching to the TL LED forward lighting, I have not had a single incident of a cage pulling out at close range as before with halogen lights. And others have mentioned the same thing.
As stated in both reviews - we agree with you, "to each his own". That it would come down to aesthetics and $$$. All we are doing is sharing our opinion and photos to allow others to be informed.
You'd do the community a great favor sharing where you got the HD LED for such a good price ("...the extra $50 bucks..." - you are implying it was only about $300). HD MSRP for the headlight is $500+/- and dealer cost is $350 +/-... I'm sure those who choose to go with the HD version would appreciate it...
