The weather again pevented the testing this weekend... shooting for Wed, but the weather liars are saying that may not work either... - geez - when is summer????
Can you post some pics? Also, I'm looking to order some french rings, did you go with JP?

@texasbadge & jack46 -

Discount Fleet is an internet outlet for a TL heavy truck distributor... they will likely not have the passing lamps for a while, at least, because the passing lamps are a motorcycle only product. Kury will initially be the only source (based on info I've gathered...).

Kury part numbers: HL = 2249 ; PL (PAIR) = 2247

TL Part numbers: HL = 27270C ; PL (EACH) = 80275

@ Garemlin -

Yes & no (don't you love straight answers...). Because P7 have a convex profile vs the P6 flat profile - it's hard to answer exactly. The P7 protrudes a bit (less than P6) before it starts the convex - total protrusion is about the same (i.e. the apex of the convex is about the same distance out as the flat of the P6) but because of the difference in design, it doesn't look as far. Clear as mud right...

I'm not familiar with the contoured ring you refer to, but any trim ring should fit - it will come down to personal preference as to the look.

@ fishn4life -

My 'frenched' trim rings are HD's...

Pics of the lamps units themselves are several posts prior (post 193). I will try to get some pics posted tonight or tomorrow of the lights installed (just don't look at the bugs smeared all over the faring <hanging my head down>, that have been there since September...

I just received an email from Truck Lite. The passing lamps part # is 80275. They are not on the market but will be soon.

Looks like both the Headlight and Passing Lamps are available from Kury now.

Pretty certain the lights will be available from Kury right about Daytona time...

Here is a link to a PDF with pictures of the lights installed in my Ultra...

http://bogiesreviews.webs.com/Phase%207%20Installed.pdf

Nothing fancy - taken with my cell phone camera, in the garage, no staging - just so you can get an idea of how they look with just the mounting ring, then the stock trim ring and then the 'frenched' trim ring.

Hope to get to the performance testing as soon as the weather allows...

Thanks for the detailed pics! Looks great, looks like a frenched or visor ring is a "must" with these lights!

Thanks for the pics bogie. I am glad I waited on the trim ring because obviously it would protrude past the contoured trim ring. Looks like the frenched is the way to go. I would have had to order the contoured and then be stuck with it.

Just got my tracking number from UPS, should get the TLP7 Headlight in a few days, ordered from Discount Fleet Supplies. Ordered the P7 Passing lights from one of our forum sponsors Phatt, will bill and ship when they receive them mid March. Nice folks to deal with, great price!
Also looking forward to the passing light wire mod (on low or high beam) while in the nacelle. Already got the Frenched Rings, ready to get with it!
Where is the Brown Truck? Come on....

And thanks Boogie!

@ TheGrandPoohBah -

It's 'bogie' - with one 'o'...

If you knew me you'd know I can't 'boogie' - hell, I can barely walk some days, much less dance...

:^)) -- just yankin' your chain.

Mid-March corresponds with my info on the passing lamp release (and the 'official' (???) release of P7 for motorcycles...)
