I looked up the numbers on the 16" ape hanger handlebars that Harley sells P/N 56942-10 and I notice that its a 1.25" bar with a 12.25" rise (tip to base outside). The whole kit will be to high for me. I am only looking for 10"-12" Apes, I like the look, and I do like the way the HD bar is bent, however I am not sure if the numbers mean this is indeed a 12" high bar, it comes with a riser kit and I cannot find the measruments on the riser kit offered with this handlebar, I am planning on running the stock riser heigh of 1.6" with these bars and hoping this will give me what I am looking for, a 12" Ape look, this is also the most comfortable for me. Does anyone have this particular kit if so I am looking for the riser height. I would also like to see some pics of Road kings with 10"-12" Ape hangers with a description if you all have any. If the HD bar is too high I will be looking for another type of bar any help would be greatly appreciated

 

The Harley kit is a set of ~12" bars with a 4" riser kit, that they use on many models, including Softails and Road Kings. They are comfy, but I'd put Wild1's bars ahead of them in terms of quality, same with Carlini. Wild1 makes apes in 8.5, 10, 12.5, 14, 16, 18 and 20" sizes.

I believe I'm going with 14" Wild1's later this year.

 

Yea I checked out the Wild1's 10" bars and not too crazy about the base width I want to stay around 10" wide at the bottom, they do look good at that height tho, thanks for the info now i can order my clutch and brake lines.
