Default Radio Antenna Help

I just got my radio back from Iron Cross Audio and it works flawlessly, however I get HORRIBLE radio reception. my bike does not have an external antenna. What can i do to boost the signal? Can I add an external antenna fairly easily? Thanks!

You could easily add an external antenna.
They are brackets available that attach to the rear fender mount.Dont have any part numbers for you.

Mount an external antenna. Internal antennas are about form over function. They do not work well in rural areas.

here is a site with some low mounts you might like.

http://www.pingelonline.com/pingel_lowmount_antenna.htm

or this site it's a little cheaper and it has a fitment page to help out. and a close up pic.

H-D Antenna Relocation Kit - 76326-00A - $100
or 76208-07 (if you already have the 'guts') - $25
(page 625, '11 Accessory Catalog)

Check out this link... https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-st-glide.html

It a little of the best of both worlds. External antenna performance; hidden antenna looks.

I did this to mine and it works perfectly.
