Seat is brand new, don't see it on anyone's site other than Mustangs site. I wrote to their CS and they said that it is 1.5 inches lower than the 09-10 seats...they could not say vs the 2011 seats. 2011 are a bit lower to begin with so maybe a half inch lower if you have a 2011?

I've always wondered "lower than which seat"? Lower than a Harley seat or lower than a Mustang seat?
There are several Harley seats and the Mustang seats usually sit a little higher than any HD seat.

1.5 inches lower than the stock hd seat that came on the bike with the exception of the 2011's, only 0.5" lower than the stock hd seat on 2011's. reason being the 2011 stock hd seat is already an inch lower than the previous years.

I have one and freaking love it. Very comfortable for the long haul and it does drop me down. I didn't measure how far down but it's enough that it makes my lowered bike even better and I am completely flat footed now. I tested the Harley version and did not like it nearly as much.

it does put you down lower, which i do like. However, it also feels like it pushes you forward. which i dont like.

I've about 1200 miles on it and am thinking of selling it. PM if anyone is interested.

Not sure what i'll try next...

I put mine on the FLHTK soon after buying and is is somewhat lower, not the 1.5" but closer to the previous poster comment of .5". It does let me be able to flatfoot but like another comment, it pushed me forward some and I didn't care much for that. I just put on the Wild-1 575 bars and that lets me sit back into it more which greatly improves the sitting position and ride. Haven't had a long ride with the bars yet, but an hour+ ride felt better.

Another note, it absorbs water. After washing I get a wet butt at the seams along the sides. Going to call Mustang tomorrow about it. Perhaps it's missing the plastic liner between the cover and foam. My wide touring Mustang seat on my Nomad didn't do that.

You're right: it absorbs water, and a lot!

You should have a look at this:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-the-rain.html

I'm waiting for the next heavy rain, so I'll know if the wax on stitches works or not...
If it doesn't, I'll buy a rain cover... No choice!
I love mine: for sure, that's the best low seat available for a HD touring!

BUT, for the price, it should be waterproof...
