Maybe I fear black ice, or maybe I just think it's friggin nuts to ride when its any colder than that. For those of you who don't let a little cold weather keep you from riding, I'm curious how cold before you throw in the towel?
Heated gear... I have a full set of Gerbings and can ride all day in the teens. The best part is the looks and comments you get from cagers. The only thing that keeps me from riding in the winter is any type of precip on the roads... & I've even ridden in that from time to time by just getting stuck in it from an outta nowhere snow squall. I just chalk it up to making me a better rider, after I can tear my hands off the grips. Been in some pretty sketchy situations. Just remember not to ride when you're too cold. Reflexes just aren't the same...

Default mid to high 30s

As others have said, i can dress for the cold and still enjoy the ride in the mid to high 30s. If I am riding in that temperature, I make sure the roads are clear and not much night riding.

I have ridden in temps down to 11 degrees farenheight but usually try not to get out below 18 as i don't have any heated gear. Folks around here think i've lost my mind, lol.

We rode yesterday and it was pretty much hanging around 30 till the afternoon. But I've rode when the temps where in the 20's. Snow and ice seem to be the deciding factor when it comes to riding for me.

RidemyEVO pretty much summed it up! I remember coming out of bar one night ( ya I was young and dumb ) to a scooter covered in snow. I was @ 20 miles from the house. What a ride home! Of course that was in early December in Michigan!

40 ish. I'll ride longer in the fall. In the spring I think about it then think about how much I hate the full face helmet I need to keep my head warm and say naaa. I also like to wait for some good rains to get the salt off the road.

The coldest I have seen is 18 degrees, 30 mile ride to work, heated gear, no problems, the white towel comes out when the white stuff comes down

About two weeks ago, roads were cleared off, sunny but 12. Strapped up the Gerbing and did a 75 miler to get a haircut. Not bad with the gear and FF helmet
