SE Heavy Breather is a very nice clean looking unit.

I just removed my SE Heavy Breather and installed a SE Ventilator.
After installing the Lindby bar I could not get my right leg around that Heavy Breather to have my foot rest properly on it. Just my

I have a SE Heavy Breather on my 2010 Street Glide... I like it and it looks GREAT on a Steet Glide!...It DOES get in the way of your right leg a little and it takes some getting used to... The HB may in fact have a slight advantage at speed but certainly not on the stationary Dyno...

I've got a Zippers Maxflow Air Cleaner mounted to an HD Stage 1 backing plate with an Arlen Ness Smooth Chrome cover.

The last few years, I've run a Ness BS naked. Installed the Ventilator on this ride and seat of the pants, it seems to do fine and plenty of clearance for the leg.

Is there any problems with riding in the rain?

If you carefully study the before and after dyno tests on air cleaner upgrades, you will discover most give no increase in performance in the "riding rpm" range, and some even decrease. The most current example is in the newest (April) issue of Amercan Iron, page 118. There is no significant increase in either torque or hp until after 3250 rpm.

For a major exception to this, do a little research on http://www.dohertymachine.com/

American Iron tested Doherty's system in May of 2003 and again back in June 2010. They point out in both articles (dyno charts in articles) that power (and torque) is increased for the entire rpm range, not just at high rpm.

If you're running Harley air cleaners, for a cheap upgrade don't overlook the Boyeson X-Wing that fits in behind the stock backing plates for instant increase down low in the rpm range. Tested in American Iron Dec '08. I installed one a couple of years ago in my Screaming Eagle air cleaner and immediately noticed how instant the throttle response was.

Staying with stage one and stock cover, because it does not get in your way.

No, This is the second Ultra I have run it open like this and have never had a problem in the rain. I have ran thru a few downpours.
