Default 2011 RKC Missing 103 Derby Cover?

Just purchase a 2011 RKC, will pick up in 2days!

Anyways, when I gave the bike a once over, I noticed it has a plain chrome derby cover.. from everything I gathered, bikes with a 103 engine should have a 103 derby cover... HD's web site shows the RKC with a 103 cover...

So the question is why doesn't mine have it??

this bike was delivered to my dealer on July of 2010, so it has been sitting for a while. The air cover does say 103.. so I was thinking:

A) Someone swapped it out
B) the earlier 2011 models did not have the 103 cover..

Pls help.. want to know if someone screwed with the bike..

hi mike, welcome to the forum, your first post. just ask the dealer why it doesn't have the 103 derby cover, that should be pretty simple. of course if you just bought a new bike and it is a 103, then they will likely swap you.

Someone swiped them at delivery or set up? Check bin and chat with dealer...

Not at delivery of course, but it happens all the time - cars, motorcycles, boats, whatever. Pull one piece off a sitting unit to pretty up and make the sale on another unit. No surprise here.

I'll go back before I pick up to se if it has the oil cooler.. Just thinking the worse here and maybe the engine was swapped out? I can't belive someone will do this to a new bike, but as you all say, it happens..

I was going to ask the dealer about the cover, but I wanted to make sure earlier 2011 models did not come like this..

besides that and running the VIN, how can I visually tell if it is the 103??

And ACR's. I don't have them but, I know they make some sort of sound when you turn the ignition on or something like that (??) Someone who has them can tell you.

Even if it wasn't OE when manufactured, the dealer should throw one in if you want one.
