If I was to put anything in the cylinders it would just be a squirt of motor oil to keep the rings from freezing up. When you wake her up, crank the engine over a couple of revs with the plugs out to get rid of any excess oil. It worked on the older engines and will work on the newer ones.

+++1 on the NON-USE of WD40,it carries alot of moisture. I learned from an old Gunsmith that it is the ABSOLUTE WORST THING you can use on ANY METAL. for loosening nuts/bolts,MAYBE,but never would I leave it on any metal overnite. Use oil where you can. JMHO

I would substitute SeaFoam for the Stabil. Run the engine enough to get it circulated through the entire fuel system.

Nothing wrong with fogging the cylinders. I have done it on my boat for years and I would on my bike if I was storing it that long. Use the marine grade fogger. Pull the plugs and squirt some in. Pull the intake and squirt some in also. It is preferable to squirt it in the intake while the bike is running then shut it off. No way to WD-40, plus that crap is flammable. Also add Sta-Bil to a full tank of gas. Let the Sta-Bil circulate through the fuel system before turning the bike off for the last time.

Thanks all for confirming my thoughts. WD-40 is out and a good wax is in.
