Default emblem tape

So I just had the king repainted and want to install my emblems back on the tank. I have looked at all the catalogs and can't seam to find any thick strong double sided tape.
Any suggestions of proven products? The emblems would be $100+ to replace so I need good stuff

3M VHB (very high bond) double-sided tape. Remove the OEM tape, then apply the VHB. Width wasn't critical since I used 1" wide and simply used multiple rows to cover the area and a sharp razor blade to trim the excess.

+1 .... expensive, but it works
Also try an Auto Body paint/equip supplier. I'm lucky enough to have one 1/2 mile away. 3M Body Trim Tape.

an exacto knife comes in very handy when trimming off the excess too.

Default emblem Tape

+1 On the VHB tape. 3M makes alot of different thicknesses and a few different colors. McMaster-Carr sells it out of their cataloge if you can't find it elsewhere. It is definitely expensive but the stuff definitely sticks

Also take a blow dryer or heat gun (carefully) after you apply it to warm it up and then keep some pressure on it until cool.
