1) Use rubbing alcohol to clean the areas before using the tape.

2) I wear gloves when using the 3M Body Molding Tape. My skin is very oily and this keeps the oil off my fingers from getting on the bonding area.

3) I also warm it up with a blow dryer before installing the emblem. I read that when installing some dash kits a few years back.
