Shore just keep hitting there 2 sticky threads and maybe you'll get it straighened out faster. I am sure those stickys sell to masses and are great free advertising for their products.

 

Id just keep the volume maxed out til they blow and get better ones,did that to the hog tunes and now workin on the j&m then maybe I will try some non bike speakers,think they are less cash and sound better? but liked the plug-n-play(marketed directly for harley davidson motorcycles and sponsers on this site) stuff for now...

F it, I bought some Hertz 6.5's today...WORLDS BETTER.

even without the amp. Even the dealer I got the Hertz from agree'd on the J&M's and he's a dealer for them...told me people always complain about them.

J&M won't respond so I filed a dispute with paypal against american classic motors.

I'll get my money back.

 

How much for the Hertz speakers?

 

$250 with adapters...ouch.

 

Please post more detail on what you like and dislike about the Hertz speakers. Why do I have a feeling that there will be a flood of J&M speakers in the classifieds?

 

If you like 'em Shore,.............. $ 250 is a small price to pay for piece of mind !!!!

 

Well, 1st off, these are quality pieces. They are aesthetically superior. I'm not running grilles. They look too nice in there.

2nd, you can hear them. They have full sound. 70mph and you can actually hear the lyrics and music...my bike is pretty loud.

I can't wait to amp them.

I will be honest, there is no real bass. This we knew going into this whole thing....it is what it is. The J&M's just totally lack the low end.

Just them side by side and see for yourself....the J&M's look like $10 speakers.
