Question Vance and Hines quiet sound insert

I own a '10 ultra classic and put a set of Vance and Hines Twin Slash Round (4") slip ons on it. I like the sound, but sometimes it sometimes makes my ears ring. Vance and Hines advertizes "Quiet sound inserts" that can be installed to drop the sound 3-5 decibels. Has anyone tried these?

Older thread but did you ever try the inserts? Been thinkingthe same thing. Guess I getting old if it is too loud. Long rides are when it gets to me at times.

I added these to my pipes and it is alot more tolarable on long trips. It is fairly quite while cruising but it still gets loud if you get on it.
