It could be less expensive to have the battery loaded tested before buying a new one.

The battery is questionable. If you ride in remote areas (no cell coverage) replace it so you're not stranded. If you ride in cell coverage areas, you can take your chances. Kinda makes you want a kick starter for back up. Rode with some friends and one of the bikes battery crapped out so we push started the bike. Would not try that on my own, solo.

My next Battery http://www.kodiakinc.com/powersystem...riesspecs.html

First Bike I couldn't get the local dealer to replace on warranty after 3 trips. I questioned whether they even tested it. It went dead while I was on a week trip, and it was dead. Took it to a neraby dealer, Harv's and they replaced it no problem.

My EGC is starting to struggle on initial start but tested OK (out of state dealer) so they can't replace it. Offered to let me leave it over night and test in the morning but I couldn't leave it. I will be changing my battery soon as I really don't want to try and push start my bike.

Yeah with EFI if the battery gets below around 9.5 volts the EFI/ECM will not work correctly it won't start even when trying to push start it

You could be right. This bike was an EVO carbed machine. Good info to know, so won't waste the effort trying on an injected bike.
